Coating Technology S.r.l. has been specializing in carrying out surface treatments and coatings on rubber items, allowing to improve the properties and strengthen the potentiality of your products, thus optimizing the productive process in different sectors, among which the food, medical, pharmaceutical, aeronautical, cosmetic, automotive, plastics and rubber ones. Moreover, the different treatment methods are combined with a complete cleanliness analysis in a protected environment, carried out through state-of-the-art machines and tools from Germany, along with scrupulous controls and laboratory tests to guarantee the preservation of the components features and the reinforcement of the system.
For specific technical cleaning needs related to particulate matter, we also conduct contamination tests using an external laboratory.
Each of the activities involving cleanliness analysis, drying, and packaging is conducted in a controlled environment. This ensures full compliance with current regulations on particulate matter and guarantees the provision of quality cleanliness analysis tailored to the specific needs of the client, all while prioritizing safety.
For this reason, we carry out a high-pressure cleansing, that allows to reduce microplastics on the items to be treated without resorting to the employment of chemical products.
The term LABS refers to all issues related to surface coatings, particularly regarding impurities and sediments that are difficult to detect upon their production, hindering coating adhesion. These substances can include silicones, fluorine materials (PTFE), certain lubricating oils and grease, as well as oxidation layers caused by moisture. Furthermore, contamination can occur inadvertently through contact with coveralls or silicone rubber gloves used for handling items, as well as through the use of cosmetics, perfumes, or hair products.
A growing environmental awareness, in union with increasingly stringent regulations on pollutant emissions, has prompted certain sectors to implement specific measures and LABS-frei (derived form the German term meaning "lacking LABS"), particularly for medical technology items, where it is crucial to ensure the absence of impurities in the final product.
However, not all pollutant elements can be completely eliminated from the production chain. To meet the requirement without LABS, components muts undergo cleaning: a heightened awareness of occupational medicine and environmental protection has facilitated the adoption of new innovative methods for cleanliness analysis, with plasma cleaning being particularly notable. This method can permanently eliminate surface flaws and impurities, simultaneously reducing cleaning times, cutting costs and ensuring greater reliability in the production of the treated component.
